From the finesse of finer wines to the frivolity of fishnets, this feast for all the senses could be our GRANDEST tasting yet.
Join us from 5pm-7pm at the historic Key West Aquarium at Mallory Square. Originally opened in 1935, the Key West Aquarium is home to sharks, turtles, stingrays, tropical and other fish found in the beautiful waters of Key West.
Our 2012 Grand Tasting will showcase a selection of finer wines
presented by our local distributors and scrumptious hors d'oeuvres created by four local celebrity chefs; Chef and cookbook author Paul Menta, Executive Chef Michael Schultz of Fin, Chef Kevin Montoya of Tavern N Town, Chef Richard Tallmadge of Cole's Peace Bakery and Mark Certonio, proprietor of lush bar.
The sexy troupe of Fancy Pants Entertainment will amuse and entertain as they bring the sea to life, all to the backdrop of the engaging exhibits of the Aquarium. You might even get to pet a shark!

Chef Paul Menta
Key West Celebrity Chef Paul Menta is one of our four guest chefs this
evening preparing a culinary gift for all attendees, his Extreme Stone
Crab. Creating this dish solely for the key west food and wine
festival, he uses only ingredients found from the gate way of the keys
to key west. This unique taste is from local farms and fishermen and a
signature Key West sustainable dish. Jack fruit, black sapote, sugar
loaf sea salt,plantains, hibiscus buds and of course Key West stone
crab.

Stay tuned for his debut cookbook, "Now We're Cooking, Key West" and
tickle your taste buds with Key West flair. "Eat local and always
with a friend" is one of the many mantras he'll share. As a Chef,
Writer and Pro Kiteboarder, his travels and techniques are sure to
bring extreme flavor to kitchens everywhere and of course this great
event.
Executive Chef & Partner Michael Schultz
A native of cape may new jersey, has trained in some of the worlds most prestigious restaurants and now puts his passion and talent to work at Fin. Chef Schultz has worked for legendary master chef George Perrier at the world famous 5 star le bec fin after which he was hired as executive chef and event coordinator for Blinding Edge Pictures, owned by renowned movie director M Night Shyamalan. Over the years, chef Schultz developed a unique style of cuisine and his menu features fresh, local ingredients prepared with the utmost care and thought to the environment.
