Old World versus New World Wines

Come explore a unique tasting experience of Old World verses New World wines that will be sure to open your eyes to new food and wine pairings. Our experts Jackie Gwidt from Premiere Beverage and Kelly Richardson from Domaine Select Wine Estates will be taking it to the mat for your viewing and tasting pleasure. This "seminar" will be a great afternoon of entertainment & education.

Kelly Richardson from Domaine Select Wine Estates

Kelly Richardson is a beverage professional who has been in the industry for over 15 years in a bevy of different roles. She cut her teeth in Philadelphia where she worked in one of the hottest restaurants in Center City. Working under some of the cities top sommeliers a love of wine was born. With over 700 wines on the list than offered global selections her wine education had begun.

After moving to Florida she became a wine buyer at Maxx’s Grille on Ft Lauderdale beach where she attained her sommelier certification from Johnson and Wales. From there she went to work for National Distributing Company where she was employed as a sales rep for the fine wine division covering the Ft. Lauderdale territory. She continued her education within the walls of National attending many seminars with some of the top wine producers around the world.

Then she switched to the supplier world by accepting a position on the fine wine team for Palm Bay Imports. She held this position for four years before accepting the role of Southeast Division Manager for Domaine Select Wine estates. A role she currently holds.

Seminars are a regular part of her business as Domaine Select has a beautiful selection of eclectic wines that are often not understood because of the unique areas that they come from. She believes firmly that education is an integral part of this business and continues to further her own, as well as others.
