The Art of Food Photography

Local photographers, Meghan Capozzi and Alex Holst will offer this two hour seminar illustrating the different possibilities and approaches to food styling and the photographing of foods.

The workshop is geared to amateur photographers that wish to understand basic food styling and the photographing of food in the best possible way through lighting and composition. At the end of the seminar photographers will be able to produce a properly lit shot emphasizing the beauty of the food and scene. Meghan and Alex will touch upon easy lighting set-ups as well as commercial level styled shot. the use of natural daylight, simple on/off camera flash as well as an introduction to commercial grade studio lighting will be offered. Of course there will be wine.

Meghan Capozzi quickly realized that her passion was behind the camera not behind a desk.

She moved to Key West Florida to reassess her life’s direction and began shooting again in a beautiful atmosphere, which led her to follow her dreams of practicing photography.

Meghan E. Capozzi spent the past year and a half living in Paris France living, learning and breathing photography. She was born in New York City and was raised in Connecticut. A graduate of Greens Farms Academy in 1999, she went onto graduate from The University of Vermont in Burlington Vermont with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts.

Along with her undergraduate degree she has studied photography and has attended numerous photography workshops in Florence Italy at Studio Arts Center International, Central Saint Martins in London and holds a degree in Professional Photography from SPÉOS in Paris France.

She currently resides in Key West, Florida.
